Magnolia, our Golden Retriever is very sick. Apparently she was puking up everything and having diarrhea with blood in it. My parents took her to the vet when she started puking and they did some tests and said they didn't know what was wrong and sent her home, even though she puked at the vet. Well it got so much worse that my parents then took her to the emergency animal clinic.
The vets think she got in to rat poison. Which my parents, since they have two dogs and two (three for the time being) cats, don't keep in the house. My parents are VERY careful about making sure nothing poisonous is in a place where Magnolia can get to it, since they know she will eat what she can get to.
So the current theory is that someone else in the cluster set out rat poison in the woods or on the hill, and magnolia either got directly in to that, or in to something that had gotten in to it. My parents are going to call a community meeting and give a very stern lecture. Most of the people in our cluster have dogs. This could have happened to anyone.
Right now it is very very touch and go. They don't know if she will pull through.
I have no Idea what I would do if I lost Magnolia. My entire family would be absolutely devastated. She is one of the nicest dogs you will ever meet. And anyone on here who has met her can confirm that.
Can everyone please cross their fingers for her? Or keep her in your thoughts? Pray? Whatever it is that you do?
I just want my Magnolia to be okay.
This is what I get for liking those emergency vets and animal precinct shows on Animal Planet.
