This weekend was wonderful.
After a thoroughly fulfilling day at pcrazy skool I left straight for my drive south. It took me five and a half hours to go one hundred and ninety miles. Forty-five of those miles took three hours. I have to admit that the drive frustrated me a lot, especially because right next to me were the HOV lanes going seventy miles per hour. I finally got to MrDeity's place at eight thirty. It was such a relief to not be in the car anymore!
We cuddled, ate Thai food and watched "The Rage in Placid Lake." (Which is one of the best movies ever, in my opinion.)
On Saturday we went to what I assume was Virginia Beach and took a walk on the beach. It was my first time seeing the ocean during the winter, at least that I remember. I find bodies of water very relaxing. It was so nice to walk down the shoreline, holding hangs, and talking. I am so fascinated by natural ecosystems and different niches. I liked looking at all of the different shells that had washed up, and the full fish skeletons which look alarmingly pre-historic. Fish skulls also look a lot like bird skulls. I also saw several parts of blue crab and these really interesting shellfish that looked like long fake fingernails and shone like mother of pearl.
We got to see my friend Graham, who goes to school down in that area. He has been bugging me to come visit him since he started there, and he is now a senior. At first he was kind of angry that I was only visiting now that I have a guy I like down in the area. The real reason I hadn't visited him sooner though is that I have absolutely no interest in staying on a college campus. Or going to frat parties, which is what he keeps inviting me down for.
We went and got yummy Indian food. He and MrDeity spent most of the meal talking about World of Warcraft. To me it was as if they were speaking in a different language. It was fascinating.
I had suspected they would get along pretty well. They are a fairly even level of geeky.
We went to bed ridiculously early on saturday night. Something like midnight. I am most definitely not used to waking up at eight am on saturday mornings.
On sunday we walked to a restaurant which had stopped serving by the time we got there (and was apparently going out of business.) So we ended up getting Greek food instead. It was only mediocre greek food. The dolmas were pretty good, but the falafel was only okay.
We got back and sat and watched a dog agility championship on animal planet. It was nice to be sitting with someone who actually enjoyed watching that with me. I am such a sucker for silly things like that. And Americas Funniest Animals.
We then watched Serenity, which I hadn't seen yet, even though I had seen all of firefly. I must say. I was disappointed. It wasn't as good as the show. At all. (But gorram Simon is hot.) And they killed off my favourite character, which I do not approve of.
I then came home early enough to get enough sleep for my program today, which I discovered I did not have after all. (Because of presidents day. Le sigh.)
It was a really really great weekend. It was nice, and relaxing, and very very sweet. Sleeping in the same bed as someone is one of the best things in the world.
And I get to see him again this coming weekend for SaintInsomniac's birthday/game/pajama party.
I am also now updating from my own computer! In my own room! This is so marvelous. (Thankyou so so so so so much for the computer dear.)

I can't believe your professor would say something so awful to you. Sure, he doesn't want to give you false hope but with a little talent and lots of hard work some "annoying" people have made decent careers for themselves, especially in theatre. Asshole.
