Today was amazing.
First off, beautiful sunny day, no class, did laundry, dishes, some homework, cleaned room -- the stuff I normally save for days off.
But it really all started when I looked in the mailbox and got a letter from my university. I won a bursary--and a fairly decent sized one at that! So I picked up my cheque today and it's sitting here in front of me, smelling like money. Mmmm money...free money...
The Lamb of God show was siiiiick; they're just as insane as when I saw them 3 years ago. I missed Gojira -- the band I was second-most looking forward to. They're from France just hitting North America and they WILL explode over here. I can taste it...Then fucking MACHINE HEAD played. Amazing line up with the exception of Trivium, who opened for Lamb of God. I've never liked them because I think they sound too much like Metallica. Strangely enough, the lead singer totally looks like Kirk Hammet.
But other than that the show was awesome, and I even found me a man! (So it WAS a good thing I came alone!) He's Francophone, but mediocre English. Yep, this will need some work (on my part). AND he was wearing a Pantera hoodie...huge points...*smitten*
