see, in the summer of '04 when her album was all the rage (and i was deep into beatlemania), we had our trip down to the beach for senior week. i was depressed because i was the only one of my friends there who had, in fact, dropped out of school. but we had a fantastic time down in rehoboth. i hated this album at first, but somehow it ended up being the soundtrack of that summer. it seems like so long ago sometimes, and other instances it feels like yesterday.
...not a tattoo or piercing in the whole bunch. of course i ended up getting a hole punched in my nose and one in the naval about a week later as i turned 18 that year. hah. i miss those days. so innocent...
