the first step on my journey to better health is to change my diet. and i mean COMPLETELY. my new doc (who is wonderful, by the way) has suggested i follow the gluten/casein elimination diet. that means no wheat products of any kind and no dairy!!! even peanuts and chocolate are off limits. i don't know how i'm going to make it through this but the way i've been feeling as of late has been torturous so cutting out these food groups couldn't possibly make things any worse than they already are. my only concern is that it is the holiday season and amazing food will be surrounding me almost constantly. oh, and did i mention: NO BOOZE. NO. BOOZE. ahhh!!
about my only guilty pleasure i've hung onto is cigarette smoking and i have a feeling i'll be cutting down on that soon enough. i hit the bong reallllly hard this thanksgiving, for the first time since i've been feeling shitty and it was awful! i felt like i was dying! so i'm off the pot for now, too. what else is left for me?! music and boys with guitars. that's. about. it.
i'm thinking about going back to ballet soon. but i need to take this one step at a time. we'll see how this diet goes, then proceed from there. this is going to be tough, but i'm willing to make some drastic changes as long as they are for the better.
