Well boys and girls...I've had quite an eventful last few days!

Monday welcomed Landon Patrick into the world. JP's sister was induced 2 weeks early. We spent most of Monday at the hospital waiting for him to arrive. There were like, 18 babies born that same day!! So, all day long we got to look in the nursery at all these teeny tiny babies...and then...

Thank you all for the heartfelt, touching messages you left me over the last few days.

It's been a really hard time for both JP and me, and we both read the messages you all left. I'd like to leave you each a personal thank you, but I'm afraid I'd leave someone out...and really, a simple "thank you" just doesn't feel like it's enough. I...

Yeah I tend to jump to conclusions.
Just the impression I got. He was sorta inebriated and stressed out when we last talked. With time I suppose, things might change for the better. I hope so.
And thanks for the words. smile

My puppy died this morning. JP just called and told me.

He's in class all day, so we can't go pick him up until this afternoon. I'm supposed to work but I'm not going in. It's inventory. I might lose my job...but I really don't care right now.

We went to see him yesterday afternoon and got him to eat 5 spoons of dog food...so...

I went to see the puppy today...he's doing really, really bad. The vet said, "I came in this morning and asked [one of the nurses] if Dax was still alive. She said yes, and I was really surprised."
Thanks, doc, that's really what I wanted to hear. It seems that the biggest problem now is that he won't eat,...

oh honey, i'm so so sorry!!! i know he's at the vet and getting the best treatment possible and all, but are they trying all the home tricks? toast soaked in warm milk? peanut butter? we got a puppy through on those two things for a couple weeks one time...

sending puppy hungry thoughts, and warm ones to you both!

We saw the puppy today at the animal hospital. The doctor says that he's doing remarkably well, so I attribute that to A. His lab dog tenacity B. His love for his mommy and daddy and C. Your good thoughts, vibes, and prayers. Please, keep sending them his way, because he's not out of the woods yet.

He's still not allowed to eat or drink-...

My sweet, wonderful, cute, adorable, precious, baby puppy has parvo.

He's in the animal hospital right now, and the vet says it is too early to tell if he's going to be OK or not.

He was fine last night, running around and playing and barking and aggravating the big dog like a normal puppy...and then this morning, he started whining...

Hello SG and all my wonderiffic friends. smile

I haven't much to say, really. The last few days have been filled with puppy training- "NO! BAD DOG!", running outside on potty breaks, spending INSANE amounts of money at Petco buying two of the same toys...only to have both dogs continuously go after whichever toy happens to be in the others' mouth at the moment, introducing him...

tire blow outs. scary! yeah, get those tires changed when they start balding (preferably sooner than that). try to replace them all at the same time too. and every time you get tire/wheel work done, take it easy at first on the freeway. one time, my friend got his tires changed, and we got on the freeway and started going. then the car started swaying back and forth and we almost flipped over. we ended up sideways on the freeway. i was in the passenger seat and i could see cars braking to a halt outside my window. scary stuff! apparently the mechanics didn't balance the tire properly. so just start off slow on the freeway and bring it up to speed. stay in the slow lane until everything feels okay. smile

and yes, puppy pics!

That sucks about those tire blow-outs. Nothing like a flat tire to fuck up your day. I got one driving home from a girls house a few years ago at three in the morning (during a thunderstorm, no less). Flat tires suck. especially four in a year.

Hopefully you didn't get in trouble for not showing up at work, but at least you tried.

And, I may be a day late, but I'm coming over for some kabobs. Hope you got some left-overs.

We took Alley over to meet him today and the three of us just fell in love with the little ball of fluffy cuteness. He and Alley get along sooooo well...immediately, they started rolling around with each other, playing. I can't wait...

First, thank you for all the BRILLIANT music suggestions. Please, keep them coming. I have a month before I unload all my music on her. Three CD's burned, so far.

Next, I had an interview with Target today for Asset Protection Specialist. The store I interviewed with wasn't hiring, but I still have a 2nd interview with the District Manager on Tuesday. They're creating a...

I saw you mention having an interview at Target and I was all ready to scream "Noooooo!!!!" until you mentioned it was for AP. In which case, congrats!

Target was one of the worst places I ever worked (and I worked back in the TSC, it was even worse for employees that were on the floor), but the AP folks always seemed like they were okay with the job. A little bored, standing in front of the doors everyday trying to look "intimidating", but still satisfied.

I wish you the best in your Target endeavors. kiss
