i posted that thread w/o having read it all first, and when i did...i found it just a bit disturbing. i think you have raised valid points. because i have a tendency to unconsciously solicit trouble (read: get harrassed) i was really worried when i joined the site that i might step on some toes and get kicked off--even though i try to be harmless as a lamb.
but then, reading that thread--i worry even more, because there doesn't seem to be a consistent standard.

i really want to like it here, but the tone of that thread just plain intimidates me.

The way I see it, you might as well come back and try to raise hell. If you're sort of leaving anyway, it kind of gives you license to run amuck.

I'd consider running amuck with you but the palistinian/israel conflict isn't my bag. I don't have the stomach for it. I'd rather read about cephalopod biology than the middle eastern mess and since I'm unwilling to do the research, I've given up the right to hold a strong opinion on the subject.

While I understand your issue with what you see as an unfair use of authority, I also understand wishing death on groups of people. I saw the move Biker Boys this evening and caught myself hoping for the painful deaths of anyone that would polish the frame of a yamaha R1 and paint it like a low rider. That doesn't mean that I'd be willing to set up camps an shove people into the ovens... It's more of a hypothetical death that I'm wishing for.

Anyway, thanks for mentioning me in the thread. I've more or less stopped hanging around the current events so it's nice to see someone remembers my long winded rambling.
