Despite all the wonder and amazement of the past few days, for some reason tonight I'm experiencing a crushing ennui.

KYAH, magic internet-box! Alleviate my boredom!

...

Nothing?

Aw, cute. But still bored.

I don't want to be "that guy" who's constantly linking to things on Amazon, but I'm on a music browsing kick.

Plus, I find it incredibly cool that you can get the soundtrack to the Rocky Horror Picture Show in karaoke-style instrumentals using the original film score backing tracks. Oh, the mischief I could get up to with this. If only there were a similar...

While it's free for a limited time:

You are commanded to download, listen to, and enjoy this track.

Dig, Lazarus, Dig!!!

Also,

"I didn't say he doesn't exist or that he's dead or anything. I just said he's away. It happens. It's business."

brisuscheez:
I LOVE THAT SONG! I wanted it to be in the "Eurydice" soundtracks and luckily it made the cut. smile
brisuscheez:
Oh "Lazarus", the video is a new and exciting revelation... biggrin

There are questions that you ask that you feel absolutely terrible about if you have to explain them.

When you have to explain them to Felicia Day, it must feel like clubbing a puppy.

crissi:
Hey there! Thank you for your comment on my set!

smile
brisuscheez:
I think it may be turning into a Bollywood Marathon type of evening. I'm supposed to be writing a play for a festival but I'm struggling with a plethora of ideas and none like being put to paper. smile

If you've been paying attention to BrisusCheez and her blog, then you've probably seen her Theatermania masks and heard her talking about the stress of putting on the show. She deserves lots and lots of hugs for the work she does. And money. But I currently have no money.

One further interesting point about Theatermania is that one of the shows appearing in it is...

If you like soul music, you owe it to yourself to find Baby Huey and give him a listen.

His music can be kind of hard to find. He died shortly before his first album hit the store shelves.

Here's a taste for you, so you can tell what I'm talking about. (Streaming audio in the link)

It started with the old FBI warnings - which, on VHS, you could fast-forward through.

Then came the FBI warning, followed by a copyright notice (sometimes in two languages) that said essentially the same thing.

Then came the FBI warning, the copyright notice (sometimes in two languages) that said essentially the same thing, and the public service announcement that hyped a misinterpretation of the law...

If you could be the opposite sex for one day, who would you want to be?
brisuscheez:
The one way I can tell you how I get around all the junk at the beginning of my BBC faves is: step 1) turn TV off, turn DVD player on, put in disk and hit play, 2) go do something else for 10 minutes and come back to turn TV on, 3) showtime! And if I leave the DVD in the player next time all I have to do is hit "top menu" and I skip all of that stuff. smile

Okay. So James Gunn does the joke better. Still kinda fun.

This next video I find funny solely because it's supposed to be a parody of Jessica Alba thriller The Eye, but this concept has actually been made into a movie. More than once.

Edited to Note: Oh. Right. Both of these were found via that same ugly website.
brisuscheez:
"What the fuck accent are you doing?"

I love 8tracks.com. Probably more than I should.

My latest mix of 8 songs. Inspired by the simple line, "It's always, 'Me, me, me! I'M on fire! Put ME out!'"

Woo-hoo!

I'm getting a lot more writing done these days -- in part thanks to finding Write Or Die. Something about the negative reinforcement plan really helps spur my writing forward. I've gone from just thinking about writing my next novel to being over 5500 words into it in two days.

And now: This comedy video. Found courtesy of this ugly website.

When I say this video is "screamingly funny," I literally mean that I laughed out loud louder than I have for a very, very long time.
