Not much going on over here. Last week mir and her boyfriend stayed with me a few days while they were stranded and waiting for a few things to go through. It was kinda nice having people around for a bit, but they've now moved on.
I've been procrastinating on my DGA application and I need to get up off of my ass and finish it at some point. I've got my hands in a couple other pots currently as well, so there are definitely other means to my goals, but going through their program would probably be the easiest and definitely the more... is prestigious the word I'm looking for? Either way, I'm getting bored with my job. Things are going well and I definitely can't complain, but I've definitely fallen into a mundane routine and I like to be consistently challenged. After the holidays some of my coworkers and I are planning to submit a proposal to the company that would mean a change in responsibilities for me, but we'll see how that goes.
No plans for Christmas, plus the funds are kind of tight right now being as how I have to pay a $400 traffic ticket this month. I think I'm gonna try to go to traffic school as well so that insurance won't go crazy with my premium.
The girl who lived next door to me while I was in college is coming out to visit next month. We used to be really close... roomates for all intents and purposes, and we still talk from time to time, but it'll be nice to see her in person and catch up for a bit. She'll be here for my birthday as well.
Speaking of which... what should I do for my birthday? I'm thinking of taking Friday off and having a three-day extravaganza a la bean. Maybe dinner one night, out on the town another, and then a house party at my place? We shall see. What do you all think? It might be nice to get laid too, but I'm not holding my breath on that one.
The girl is still around but extrememly busy, If you know who I'm talking about you could imagine why, but it's at the point now where I'm wondering if it's worth trying to pursue. I mean it is, but only if she's interested in being pursued and that's where I always strike out. One day I'll meet a lady who isn't afraid to let me know she's into me through her disposition and not just through the standard "yeah, I mean I kinda like you too" lip service. I mean I guess I get that every now and then but it's always from girls who live miles and miles away.
Speaking of which, as a parting note this and this girl have enthralled me like nobody else has since a pretty girl whose name starts with E left for Boston.
