Well, so much for taking it easy this week. Oddly enough though, I still have cash to spare. How about that shit!!!!
The girl ended up calling me Sunday to say she couldn't make it, but we immediately rescheduled for Wednesday. I've been told that in the dating game these days there's a mandatory raincheck policy. News to me, I wouldn't know.
Monday night I went to bed early, but I didn't sleep because I got up at like 4:30 in the morning to go over to Amoeba records and snatch up a pass to the Secret Sonic Youth show and Filter magazine anniversary party on the 8th. They haven't even announced the venue, and aren't going to until the 7th.
On Tuesday I went to SGLA dinner, which was supposed to be at The Spaghetti Factory, but due to the turnout we relocated to a neat little place in Thai town. Afterwards we went back to Cedar's for a drink or two.
Wenesday was the date with the girl. I have to say I don't think it could have gone much better had we been reading from a script. I love the way she thinks. So far she's meeting and exceeding all of the requirements on the checklist. The best part of all is that she seems to be as into me as I am to her. I don't have to second guess whether or not it's time tto go in for the kiss with this one, she has this subtle way of letting me know when she's ready. I don't have to do all of the work. She's aggressive enough without coming off as easy and I like that. We have an insane amount of things in common and I can't wait to spend more time with her.
We're not even officially together yet, and I'm already declining advances from other girls, which I usually don't have to worry about, but I guess when it rains it pours. Wish me luck and leave me good advice. This one's a keeper.
On Thursday at work I got confirmed on my second raise and psuedo-promotion. After the 4th I'll be switching my schedule to where I work overnights and pretty much get a 3 day weekend every week. The funny part is, from what I can tell about the change, work will probably become easier as opposed to harder. I don't know why I'm so "blessed", but things just keep getting better, and better for me.
After work I went to Eon_McKai's party in Hollywood. Of course there were a lot of hot girls there and oddly enough even some people who recognized me. Patricia Day from the Horrorpops was there for a minute as well as the camera crew for Eon's new reality show on Showtime. I have to say, porn parties are pretty interesting.
Afterwards I headed over to the Whitehorse for drinks with the SGLA crew. There was a really cool turnout and even a few new people, which is always nice when they're cool... and they were.
Last night I went out for sushi with me friend Charles and then afterwards we hit up a house party at my friend Joe's house where I got to see a couple people I hadn't seen in a while.
This weekend I'm trying to take it easy. Maybe I'll hook up with the girl if she's free. Tommorow me and a couple buddies from work are supposed to go see Vida Guerra. That should be interesting.
No plans so far for this week which is cool because it will be nice to relax and save up some cash for the upcoming shows. I can't wait. Catch you guys later.
