Well, I'm out of the running this go round, but life is going so good right now compared to just a few weeks ago that I'd be insane to complain or be upset. I still haven't decided if I'll give it another try or if I'll attack it from another angle all together. I mean I got further on my first try than most people do in 3 or 4. I've got a few months to make up my mind on that though.
Right now, it might actually be a blessing in disguise. It takes some pressure off and gives me some time to get a lot of other things in order that I need to take care of. I also will have some time to actually try to live it up in L.A. now that I'm making decent cash and am stable on my feet. Now I can take the time to spend some QT with my friends and show them how much I ppreciate all of their support and understanding up to this point. It's been a whirlwind since I got to this town and maybe a year or so of cruise control is just what I need before I through myself into the full court press.
I mean today I got offered yet another raise. I haven't even been at this job a full 2 months yet. I'd have some audacity to be moping about one missed opportunity that I can still give another shot at later. The raise would involve a schedule shift and a minor change in duties, but it's all stuff I can handle, and the work environment will be even more ridiculously laid back than it is now. It could also help keep me out of trouble as I'd be working during the hours I'm most prone to be out spending cash and playing around when I don't need to be. I also found out that the studios will verify IMDB credits for me on all of the movies and video games that send footage through our company. That shit looks pretty impressive on a resume. (btw, the trailer for "Ghost Rider" looks fuckin sweet. I can't wait until we get Spiderman 3 in.)
So I also found out this weekend that a trip to Seattle may be neccessary in order for me to pick up my car. A lot of that is up in the air as of yet, but hopefully I'll be able to work it out. The party was alright. I met some pretty cool people, but I'm still anxious to have my friends over sometime. Eventually I'll be settled in enough to do an official housewarming or something, but until then whoever wants to come hang is welcome to whenever they want.
Anyway, I'm around, so give me a holler if I'm on your mind, and if you find a video on the internet of me and some friends acting like idiots with lightsabers... just remember we were drunk.
