I have a lot of bullshit going on in my personal life right now, so tonight's journal entry will be about Barry White's effect on my life.

Barry was a great guy, loved pickles, and was one hell of a singer and composer.

I made a bet with my ex-girlfriend that if she listened to a Barry White cd while she was with me, she'd want to make the sweet lovin'. She laughed and mocked me...until I put on the sweet, soulful, baby makin' sounds of Barry Whie and the Love Unlimited Orchestra. Guess who won that bet...

I am currently tearing down studio A at Capitol. I have Barry playing on the loud speakers. Another engineer poked his head in and looked at me like I was crazy. I see no better way to strip down a room than to have Barry White playing in the background. You just can't rip the micrtophones down, you have to take your time and handle them gently...caressing them. Then you have to use both hands and gently open it's box and ease it inside. Awwwwww yeahhhh.

Finally if it weren't for Barry White I never would have met my childhood idol...Don Cornelius from SoulTrain. Yes, I'm just that fucking pimp.

Thank you Barry! You are very much missed.

I'm almost done work and in an attempt to not go home, I am going to stop by the Bigfoot Lodge in Los Feliz. I will be there before 1am. If anyone wants to join me, I will gladly entertain you with stories of todays session involving Flea and Snoop Dogg...tempting isn't it?????
