It is the first day of Autumn for all of those who'd like to know, or for those who are keeping track, the "Autumnal Equinox." The fall is my most favorite time of year. The air just smells nicer, the weather isn't so damn hot, and death never looks so beautiful as when every tree starts to lose it's leaves.
Lets not forget that consumers spend more on halloween decorations than any other holiday (that is totally true) and butt loads of candy, apples, apple pie, candy apples, caramel apples, apple strudel, apple cake, apple cider, pumpkins!, pumpkin pie, pumpkin pancakes, pumpkin ale (good stuff, btw) and finish it all off with a huge bloating dinner with a turkey the size of a toddler and 10 glasses of wine. Tryptophan and wine is a devils brew for the giggles and sleepiness.
So what's not to love?
