Okay... it has been far far far too long since I "did" anything with my SG account.
Apparently Raygun are getting back together. I think I've got a pretty good story for how I first found out about Raygun. I was back in Sheboygan for a summer during college, I think, and a friend and I were getting fscked up in the parking lot of Prange Way. <sigh> <pause why="wipe a tear from my eye"> The joys growing up in a small town. Anyway, we thought it would be fun to wander around in the store, for some reason. There was this bin with all kinds of tapes for like a $1. Bad metal that even the local heshers didn't want. We bought a few for laughs. I don't know why I remember this but one of the tapes was the band King Swamp <http://tinyurl.com/yyo2cc>. Looking at this web-site, I seem to remember the cover art from the album Wiseblood. I picked up this one tape because I thought the cover art caught my eye <http://tinyurl.com/ylxh67>. Like it would be some really shitty thrash band or something. But after listening to the tape, I kinda liked it. Listening a few more times, and it really really grew on me. Turns out I had stumbled on Raygun's "Understand?" I don't remember any of my friend's who were into punk being into Raygun. But when I finally went to college and made friends with a kid from Chicago, he was a total Raygun fan.
