Today i applied for a new job doing something i have no experience in and never thought i could see myself doing-carework.
It's with an agency who'll provide me with training and it ranges from caring for old people in sheltered housing to taking people with learning difficulties out clothes shopping.Personally i think i'd be quite suited to the latter part!
I'm a little nervous but happy that i could be doing something so much more worthwhile then trying to meet shitty targets to line the pockets of those who choose only to refer to the likes of me as "numbers."
Oh,and i'm going to write a letter to Tony Blair explaining how i think his "New Deal" for lone parents is actually the "Old Blag" with a new title.How shitty is it that you're encouraged into work only to find yourself no better off?I'm basically only working for my dignity,which thankfully is still intact after recent events.Over the Christmas period i earnt a bonus of 106,not from doing over-time but from meeting the aforementioned targets.Will i get to see any of it?Will i heck as like,everytime i earn anything over my basic net pay,the council take it off me for more rent and more council tax.Nice eh?I want to see what Mr.Blair has to say about that,i want him to really take a look around and see how it is for us real grafters out here in the real world.
