This is why I get paid the big bucks...

Today at work we received a large shipment of what I guess you would call rock & roll belts. Belts with a lot of wacky designs or studs, kinda like what you might find at Hot Topic. So I had to hang them on a display. And then make a sign for the display.

I often have to write copy for display signs. Stuff like "cool gifts at great prices," or "check out our big selection of horseshit." It's a really simple thing to do, and takes only a matter of minutes/seconds, but after you do a few of them, it gets harder to come with something catchy and/or not stupid.

So with this one, I could have gone with "Rockin' Belts!" Or "These aren't your dad's belts!" Or "Check out our cool belts!"

But in the end, I decided to go with a sign that simply read, "Things To Hold Up Your Pants."

I consider it my best writing ever.
