little non sequitur to start the journal.

went on a beautiful run today by the boulder creek w/ friend and dog.
i so love watching dog be stupid and funny and happy.
he can't swim, but he loves to get wet and just spaz out in the water.
very amusing.

garden burgers and beer and spinich salad for lunch.

another day, another chance to wear my fabulously girly new shoes.
i just can't get enough of them! sometimes it pisses me off that i have a job where i have to wear scrubs all the time and i never get to look nice except on my days off when sometimes no one even sees me.

iced mochas then drive home.

why do people loose all sense of reason when they get behind the wheel of a car?

doggie tired. doggie sleep on cold tile floor in the kitchen.

going to a baseball game tonight. rockies v. giants.
not a big baseball fan, but it should be fun. beer.
talking to my friend made me decide to stretch my ears. mostly i'm just jealous - she just got new plugs - wooden painted red w/ little flowers painted in gold.
and i think i need to make a consult appointment w/ her boyfriend - my tattoo artist - and get the ball rolling on my new piece.
i don't know why, but suddenly, this year, i'm going crazy torturing my body!
i love it!

i hope we get the fucking swamp cooler fixed soon!
so i can sleep, for one.
and so i can start sewing again.

how do you pick good nectarines and peaches at the grocery store?
i get lucky a/b once a summer and get some really great ones, but every other time they are really unripe and when they ripen on my counter they end up flavorless and mushy.
so disappointing!
