life is good these days.
wed went for a hike on one of my favorite trails - walker ranch - more wild flowers than you can shake a stick at, beautiful mt. meadows, pine forest, raging river . . . it was overcast, misty and gorgeous. then the sun broke out and lit up the green meadows and wildflowers like it was the 4th of july!
let my doggie off leash for the first time ever. it was a terrifying moment to let go of his collar. i love him so much, if i ever lost him i don't know what i'd do! but he's such a momma's boy i don't know what i was worried a/b - he never went around a bend in the trail w/ out me. he never even wandered more than a few feet off the trail to sniff a tree. he got in the river at one point to get a drink and waded out a little too close to the white water - i can't remember the last time i screamed so loud! i'm afraid of water myself, and i would have hated to have to dive into class 5 rapids to save him!
what a wonderful day!
today went for a run, went to aqua golf - hubby taught me to swing a golf club - which i've never done before. it was fun! i had no expectations of being good, so i was pretty pleased w/ myself if i got the ball to go straight and more than 20 yards. we watched some of the other hackers - it's pretty obvious that most guys played baseball before they ever tried to play golf
now we're on our way to a friend's engagement bbq.
i love summer!
i love days off!
i love new girl weeks - isn't jezebelle just the cutest?
ok - gotta run. need to hit petsmart before the party.
