today's intallment of the people in my neigborhood:
skyy.
she is everything to me.
and she just joined SG today!
oh, rapturous day!

but she hasn't filled out her profile or anything yet, so i'll tell you a little bit a/b her.
we met only a few years ago in tech school, but we are, what you might call soul mates. like we know each other from another lifetime.
you know the kind.
we didn't actually meet till the very end of school - a 13 week internship at Alameda East Vet Hospital. (you might have heard of it if you watch Animal Planet at all).
first day of internship we show up to the lab - our first rotation - it's monday morning, 7 am. we're the only people in the lab. there are samples piling up - critical patients, pre-op patients, we don't know how to calibrate any of the equipment let alone run it.
the lab maven doesn't come in till 9. there are supposed to be 3 other people in our rotation.
one girl's aunt was killed in a car accident and she was out of town w/ her family for the funeral.
another girl was punched in the face in the mosh pit of a punk show the night before - broken nose - on codein - can't drive.
the other guy just isn't there.
lets just say skyy and i bonded.
it was pretty instantaneous - hold on to each other and swim, or sink.
the rest of internship was kinda like that too. oh, could we tell you stories! but you're probably not interested in stories of school girls.
skyy is the funniest person i know.
when we're together my face hurts from smiling and laughing so much.
i took her to her first rave on the rocks. and gave her her first roll.
her boyfriend (at the time) showed me his pierced penis that night.
together they had 10 cats. when they broke up he stole her favorite - salvador.
we were go ing to do a rambo thing and steal him back, but decided we didn't want to get in trouble w/ the law.
she is simultaneously as cute as a sanrio toy and hott as an oven.
she has moxie.
she introduced me to paint on laytex. to body glitter. to using fishnet stockings as sleeves/gloves. to
karmaloop and mudsharkstreetwear.
she taught me how to wear makeup. inspired me to pierce my nipples.
she has the most perfect breasts i've ever seen, by the way.
she drinks like a frat boy.
she introduced me to stoli vanilla and coke and to vodka and iced tea.
after our internship, after only 13 weeks of knowing each other, she moved back east. ever since then she has made the effort to travel 2,000 miles, several times a year to see me - so we can do the things we do together. rave on the rocks. vegas. laying like corpses on the couch watching tv and praying for an episode of the simpsons.
i'm the first and only girl she's ever kissed.
when we're together we're the wonder twins.
we speak in a language that's all our own - more inside jokes than real words.
it's like we're 13 all the time.
but sexxy.
