another rotten day at work 
typical sunday - chaos - and then times 2 cuz it's a holiday weekend.
i hate holidays - the shit always hits the fan - i don't know why diabetics and addisonians and epileptics all have crises over the holidays.
i don't know why splenic tumors rupture on holiday weekends.
i don't know why dogs eat decon and advil and rimadyl and onions and chocolate on the holidays - well, ok, maybe i get the chocolate.
i don't know why puppies get parvo and kittens get distemper and senior citizens get pneumonia on the holidays.
and everyone's mean!
mean dogs, mean cats, mean owners.
and me - useless.
then mean to myself.
i'm usually a very patient, calm, cheerful person.
today, when the swing shift arrived, i was in the icu cursing a blue streak as i tried to do a very simple task - pa a cat w/ a broken leg so we could change her splint - and she tried to kill me! something that should have taken me 5 seconds ended up taking 2 nurses 20 minutes to accomplish.
and that was just the tip of the iceberg.
at least that cat lived.

Electric razor...80 dollar Braun...now useless
5lb. bag of sushi rice...that was a nightmare, i had to take away all water and then it took a continuos 24 hours to come out completely.. guess who had to spend 60 bucks on Nature's enzyme?
An entire 11 lb. red snapper I left to defrost in the sink...bones ,scales ...everything. Oh did I mention that he thought it was a good idea to drag it on my bed and consume it there?...that of course left all the good juices soaking into the mattress...hmmm...now the mattress smells like fish...he burrowed halfway through in search of more morsels.
A can of tuna fish...an unopened can of tunafish...I came home, it was flat and not a scrap in the can..
1/4 oz. of extremely expensive KGB...left in my jacket and decided to eat through the liner to get at my stash..
300 dollar pair of Oakley x-metal shades....nibbled all of the nifty rubber bits off
Now he stays in the crate if I have to go out...
drives me crazy but he's my best bud..
