i had my first yoga class w/ a new teacher last night. he was great biggrin
his name is chris and he looks and sounds a lot like andrew on buffy, and he was both very forgiving as well as very encouraging.
and i'm not saying my other teacher was bad, but sometimes it's just really helpful to hear things described in a new way -...

that was a nice post with some thougtht put in, thanks for that, hope you guys have fun at the rockies game, colorado is nice in the spring....
greenxxghostie:
that's hilarious! if i had a yoga instructor that looked like andrew i'd be constantly giggling through class and falling on my ass i'm sure! my poli-sci teacher looks SO much like Niles Crane, from the show Fraser, right down to the thinning blonde hair and cleft chin. he even has alot of the same gesticulations and hoppity-like mannerism, and even the weenie suits! it's so funny sometimes i find my amusement by it somewhat distracting biggrin
jae forgot to put the tape in to tape buffy last nite and then fell asleep so now i hafta wait 'till the saturday nite replay...erg.. by the way, thanx for the tea and sympathy. i got to go to school today atleast, 'cause we found a set for life lotto ticket worth 6 bucks when hunting for change. (wow now i'm set!) well i'll get at least one of my checks tomorrow so things should be a little easier!
sports events can be really fun, i don't watch alot of sports either but when i was younger i went through a baseball phase since my dad and sister watched it so much, he took us to seattle a few times to see the blue jays vs. the mariners we were big J's fans, me and my sister made a big sign asking Roberto Alomar to marry us (i'm like, 13 here) although my favorite player was John Ollerud, he just seemed like such a nice boy! have fun biggrin wink biggrin

went up to boulder last night to hang out w/ some friends i haven't seen in a while. had a good dinner and some beers, but then it was too late to go bowling, as we had planned. so we went to the nearest bar w/ pool tables you pay for by the hour, so you don't have to worry a/b always winning to keep...

i bought my first tube of red lipstick yesterday. i think the last time i wore lipstick was almost 6 years ago at my sister's wedding. it changes your face in such a dramatic way that i always feel like a stranger when i put it on. but it looks so great on some women that i decided i would try it and wear it...

Alyson Hannigan is so adorable, and is a big part of why i got into watching the show in the first place! actually jae got me into the show-he has a huge crush on her too! she's a doll! wink
i just saw the latest buffy and honestly i have no clue what's gonna happen! i was pretty blown away by buffy getting ousted there-especially her sister telling her to take a hike and all-i have to admit it made me feel a little sad for buffy. And hey, if you've seen the commercial for the next episode then you know that angel's gonna be on it-maybe they'll destroy the universe after all?!!! such excitement!!! biggrin
i'm gonna miss having buffy as a closet indulgence, first Party of Five" and now this? oy...

went to the Furry Scurry on sat. - huge dog and owner event w/a 2 mi race/walk and tons of food and vendors, etc. i was there representing the hospital and our blood bank. it was great - so many people and dogs! beautiful weather, let the dog go swimming, got lots of people interested in having their dogs be donors, and talked to a...

Do you feel safer on the CB-1 or the Duc?..I've got D+D pipes on the SS, so it is LOUD...definite neighbor haters so maybe it's too loud on the back of it.....I like the torque the Duc makes.shifting optional in most situations......I liked Boulder alot when I was there.

mmmm....shoes... can't pass up a deal like that!

i could never get a picture phone because i am nekkid too often. i don't want people to be calling me ALL THE TIME heh heh

we did get a flat, but by sheer luck. our landlady happened to be selling, and she had already renovated the place, put in a rad kitchen and a shower/toilet which saved us 20,000 euro more or less. the shitholes we were seeing...we have so far been almost 100% wrong for timing: first the introduction of the euro last year made all the prices jump, and everyone tightened up which meant no one was moving. so there were fuck-all properties available to buy. second, we arrived in august, when the entire city closes down for summer holidays, so we lost a few months. third, the war and SARS have obliterated tourism even here, so there are very few people to rent it as we had hoped, and forth, in april all the foreign students go home and EVERYONE has property to rent so we don't stand out in the classifieds.

but if we can survive a year of holding our breath, it will end up to be an astonishingly profitable investment. i am basically optimistic, because i have been flying by the seat of my pants for my whole damn life, so this is no big shocker. i have no fucking clue what i'm going to do when i get back to canada. i need to make about 5 grand so i can travel again asap. i am however shockingly unemployable and only want to hang around till xmas. so...whatever

have you seen Secretary before? i am super curious but it isn't out here at all. i'll hook it up at home next month.

shit, so didn't answer all the questions:
Greater Toronto Area, really Oshawa, which is like the Flint, MI of Canada, except our GM plants are still open, and it's only 20 minutes to get to downtown Toronto.
when i was a kid i lived on a farm in SW ONtario, and went to highschool in London, ON.

i do enjoy hockey, i am a redwings fan by (hubby) default, and also cause the Leafs SUCK. i mean, at least the wings have won the cup recently. i will spare you the gory details of why the Leafs SUCK, unless you are a hockey fan too...next time.

i am so used to moving that i actually sort of enjoy it. i think i am the only person i know who would say that. but it's just us and the luggage, though there's a ton of it, so a lot easier than furniture and houseplants etc. i don't expect to have a permanent home for, oh, about 2 more years. but my ultimate goal is a self-sufficient organic permaculture/hemp farm with shamanic overtones, so i can afford to wait to set up a home base like that. first the R&D stage.

love your shoes
ciao

now i know what to do. i need to listen to more bjork.

the weather here is nuts. last week we got out our coats again, but this week packed them up again. i am spoilt i think.

i am far from french. we've been living in paris for about 10 months looking for real estate. we're going back to canada in 10 days which has me excited. it has been an astonishing challenge in many ways and paris is a great city, but it's time to go home.

it is really time to go to bed.
