we started pulling teeth
and now it's only pulling hair
the crowd comes and goes
like waves crashing and receeding
the constants grew fonder as
the ghosts just found themselves unwelcome
in our new world

but who does the sun revolve around
no one here apparently
no not that i don't see it differently
but the eclipse is too strong too fight past
and our new world is far from perfect
as our king has strings pulled by another

a grouping of thousands
congregation like the old days
old themes persist
too many of them
brought against the two of us
follow a plan
and deviation is never called for
a mile away for the sake of sanity
questions are asked and they try their persuasions
no nevermind deviation is not mine
the future was painted half a lifetime ago
yet still they ask why

it's so far from perfect
strings pulled by someone outside
so far from what's perfect
we'll just go outside.



bah.......it's one of those days when the only thing that can make me happy is the sound of my own voice. bah indeed...
