to think that i even wondered if there would be anyone to respond...... on the contrary much to my surprise. only a few days on, so i still get maybe a little excited to come home and come here. yeah, i know... that's pretty pathetic.
this week pretty much flew by, but i still have one more day until my weekend... one day too many that is! i've kinda been feeling all wound up, so i think going out is definately in the stars for this one!! i need to start doing things more during the week (other than work), so that i don't live for the weekly holidays. ya know??
so i'm thinking... you guys are probably ready for a day in the life of working with autistic adults with severe behavior problems. something i did quite a few years ago but these stories will stay with me forever....
so i was at work one day, and myself and another trainer decided to take our clients (i don't know why they called them that instead of patients) out to the little kiddy pool... you know, the one that is only like six to eight inches deep. well everything was hunkydorie because they were just haven't a great time splashing in the water. then it happened... the doody appeared!!! one of the clients decided to take a nice little poo in the pool (i must inform you that some autistic people have a fascination with their doody and this guy was one of them). so we knew what this meant, get them out of there as soon as possible before they start to over stimulate from the whole situation. but before we could get them out, the one that made the doody decided it was time to play with it. this is what we were trying to avoid because playing with it turns into throwing it. before i knew it.... i was in doody bomb attack. i sware... i mean turds were literally flying thru the air!! and the more we ran and screamed the more excited he got. all i remember is running and i couldn't stop laughing at how surreal and disgusting the situation was but yet how funny i found it!! i was fucking running from turd bombs and an autistic person had complete control!! finally, we had to wait until he calmed down to get him out. unbelievable, huh!
you peeps are alright..... hope that story didn't scare you away!!!
