Just got back from Qubec City for an Aunt's funeral. The circumstance I was there for really sucks, but it got me thinking over something I've been thinking for many years. I would effing love to move to Qubec City. I got to see an old highschool friend that had moved to Qubec, and met some of her friends, and we got along great. This has all lead me to pursue my wish to move to Qubec City with even more dedication.
I'm so fucking bored of Kingston, Ontario. I've lived here for over 15 years and it's time for a change. Most of my family lives around Qubec City, so I'd be close to family and friends. Plus, for the same amount I'm paying for a moderate apartment in Kingston, I could get a luxury apartment in Qubec City. If I split the rent with my friend currently living there, we could probably rent a luxurious house.
So for now my task is to seek jobs within insurance companies or financial companies that are looking for a fully bilingual person in Qubec. From what I've heard, bilingual people in Qubec are in high demand, so I'm fairly confident I can obtain a job within the same industry and negotiate a similar (or higher, heheh) salary.
Anyway we'll see how it goes, I'll post updates on this blog!
Cheers,
Simon Berthiaume
