Today was one of the longest days I can ever remember. Dating back all the way to my earliest as a toddler crawling across dark-red shag carpet.

Mother's day, as a chef de cuisine... makes me want nothing other than Chef Boyardee for dinner. If anything I'm glad the day was only 12 hours when it could have been 13 or 14. Thank you for small favors.

Between defusing interpersonal arguements between subordinates, peers, and employers, stopping a fight in progress, standing nose to nose with my boss, and after all that bringing productivity back to productive I feel like I single-handedly was responsible for all 10,000 dollars plus the restaurant earned today in sales.

And knowing that I'm not even bothered that I have seven more days to go until I have a (one, hello) day off, I am instituting a new training program tommorrow for new employees. My last day off was so long ago. So long that I can't remember anymore.
