Going down to Florida to interview Search and Rescue squads tomorrow, the gangs that drop down into hurricanes and pluck people off rooftops or trek in for lost hikers or pull you out of earthquake rubble. I may even get to drop in on NORAD HQ, like in War Games or Independence Day.

Then right from there to LA to yammer with a movie actor--ten days away from home. Why is it that every time the flowers start to bloom in the spring, I get a lot of travel gigs? Not complaining. Just ironizing.
