so i find myself sitting silently
while my earth mother sends her rappings deep within
as the tin roof reverberates her love
just to find me thinking
just to find me dreaming

and essentially there's nothing wrong with my dreams
yes, they are of the future, the potential one at least
they include you, consume you
yes, they are about you
to find you upon a thresh hold dressed in dancing light
taking flight at first sign that i have arrived
smile upon face, spirits exhalt, eyes unto mine
these are my daydreams
these are my blushing smiles at random moments
when i can no longer surpress them
i wonder how many more break neath the surface

regardless of their count
the fact alone that they are there
brings me to understand i am far too gone to even consider
going elsewhere
and back to thoughts and dreams in droves
your arms flung around me, your love does show
and i stand there happily, blushing smile full blown
these are the dreams i have come to know
i wish not to let them go

now if i could only dream with my eyes open
