disenchanted

The power of Christ compelled me to check out that new Exorcist joint. It was pretty good, but it lacked a certain organic creepiness that the first one had. There were too many newfangled and very obvious special effects and it seemed bent on grossing us out as opposed to scaring the shit out of us. It's only natural to compare a movie to its predecessor, and while this one was scary enough, it didn't quite reach the spook factor of the original. It was quite entertaining, though, and i'm glad that I saw it.

I'm also glad that the rain has returned to this city. I don't worship the sun and the heat makes me cranky as fuck, but this overcast goodness is where it's at. I'm sure that it will, but I hope it hangs around for a while. Bring on the mutha fuckin' monsoon!
