I forget the number, but I remember hearing a while ago that more Americans are dying from overwork than Japanese.

Tonight while I was heading back to the desk where I was reviewing some stuff for my meeting with Engineering I saw some of the Medical Emergency Response Team Members around a lady with a cuff around her bicep. I heard one of the MERT...

I've been looking for a forum to discuss my hatred for hip-hop, but I can't seem to find one. Why is that? Because I must be the last person on earth who holds this opinion. I'm tired of staying in the closet.
The next person who puts that LOOK on their face and says "I don't listen to rap. *scoff* I listen to hip-hop....

In the last 2 days I've seen a total of 5 car crashes!
Hooray!
Lucky me, that doesn't mean that the fucktards on the roads around here are going to start looking where they're going, or paying even the slightest bit of attention to the world around them. That means more excitement for me!
mrstitches:
I'm telling you man. Anyone with any common sense will be switching to horses any day now. Fuck cars. . .

New Journal update.

Boring recounting of mundane events goes here.

I saw a squirrel!

And man, everybody love that picture. I'm thrilled.

So yesterday, I think, may have been my most revoltingly productive day in the last 4 years. Here's what I accomplished:

1) I woke up
2) Finished updating the website
3) Walked to the bank and got a car loan
4) Went to the Cingular place and got my wireless plan changed
5) Went to the dealership test-drove the car
6) Went to the mall...

It's so funny when you're in a bad mood and you write a journal entry about what a bad mood you're in, and then you look back on it a few days later and go "Wow, what was I in such a bad mood about??".

Oh wait, did I say funny? No, that's not right. What was it? Oh, right: Lame.

Heh

But on the...

Today is a good day for hating humanity.

A "Colossal Disgust for my Fellow Man" kind of day.

Could just be that I'm working too much. Makes me cranky, having to work 12 hour shifts on no sleep, getting myself twisted to the eyeballs on energy drinks that leave me twitchy and dehydrated.

Probably it also has something to do with my increasingly frequent reminders...

You're not a bad person. Children really are obnoxious. Especially children in restaurants. As long as you don't eat them or something, I think you're pretty moraly sound.
Oh, I just read that one of your vices is cannabalism. Shit. I'm sorry, man. You're going to hell. Might as well play some Katamari to get your mind off your impending doom. smile

I need to buy another car, and god dammit, it's killing me. You'd think that with the numbing density of dealerships and used car lots around here you'd be able to find a good car for a decent price. And, oh my god, you would be oh so horrifyingly wrong. Every place has the same shit, for the same prices. All of them. It seems...

Come on, brain!
You can do better than this!

In case you were wondering, writing a novel off the top of your head is hard.
But at least I have the ending. Check this out:

Blake pulled the terrified man behind him for as long as he could, finally dropping him with a meaty thud onto the concrete of the floor of the bioweapons lab....

Yeah, those guys are rather pesky.

How goes it, fellow engineer? I trust the processor realm is treating you well?

side-note: I may be much more available for comment after this weekend... getting broadband back will work wonders for my communication on the internets. smile

Yeah, I used to program in VB.NET, and then I discovered C#... There is no going back!

Well, maybe for the occasional spat of CoCo 3 programming. Or GBA ROM development. Here's my idea:

- Just got a GBA SP
- Just ordered the flash memory dev kit / linker
- Going to program the greatest homebrew ROM of all time: HOBO-STAB 2000

The entire game: you stab hobos. They are the hippy-lookin' guys from Metal Slug, but with modified sprites. The game, right before you face a fearsome hobo, changes the fight perspective... Either first-person (ala Punchout), third-person (ala side-scroller Gunstar Heroes), RPG (w/ active battle time system), or 1-on-1 fight (ala Street Fighter series).

Best. Game. Evar. robot

(disclaimer: I have nothing against hobos, really, but the temptation of hobo-stab almost makes me want to pee myself)
