A very odd feeling indeed.
Do you know what's a weird feeling? When you know you're making a huge mistake that will probably ruin your life for ever. I mean, anyone can make a snap decision that turns out badly--in many ways, that's what life is about--but what I'm talking about here is something that you actually plan for months, and carry out to its inevitably disasterous conclusion. And when everything comes crashing down around you, you just look around calmly thinking "Yeah, this is how I figured this would turn out."
