Time for an update.
Bought some stuff today, which is always fulfilling. Let's see. The final haul included the new Meshuggah EP (see my new profile pic), a copy of Dead to Rights for XBOX that I got for 6 bux (woo!), a box of Pocky (YEAAAAAH!) and a blank video tape so I can record NHK news and Hodo 2001 tomorrow.
I feel good.
Yeah, that new Meshuggah is 1 track, and it's 20 minutes long, and it's the most awe inspiring thing I've heard from that band in a while. Dead to Rights is fucking hard, yet oddly compelling. You can do so much in that game you find yourself taking huge damage deciding how you're going to cope with the bad guys. And Pocky...mmmmmm....let's just say that Pocky is probably the reason that humankind was allowed to come into being.
Then, I came back home and watched Control Room with Itzamna. It was really interesting, and it was nice to have confirmation of something that I already knew: the arab world, much the like everywhere else, is a bunch of assholes. Sure, sure, it's more complicated than that...but that fact remains solidly in place. You should watch it though, no matter what you think about Al Jazeera.
