Redefining "no energy"

So, I was already a caffeine addict before I moved to the West Coast. Let me just be clear about that. I was already hooked on the shit in a way that is really out of character for my body. I don't have an addictive personality, and my body doesn't usually respond to chemicals with such enthusiasm. I never really got into drugs, and I never take pain medication. Ever.
But motherfucker, there is just something about the 'feine. Specifically the form that comes in coffee. Yeah yeah I know, soda and tea are supposed to have a lot too, but gimme a break. They just don't give me the kick that coffee does.
So yeah, here I am already a coffee junkie, moving merrily to Northern California. Let me tell you, those of you who've never been to this coast: THERE ARE TONS OF FUCKING COFFEE PLACES OUT HERE! Tons. In every town I've been to out here I've spotted at least 1 local coffee shop in addition to a Starbucks, and usually a Peet's Coffee nearby. So, needless to say, I went a little overboard when I moved out here. I don't really know how many cups I got up to per day, but I'm sure it was somewhere above 6.
I didn't really think anything was wrong until last week when I realized that for the past, oh I dunno, 5 nights, I had been lying in bed staring at the ceiling until 5:30am listening to my heart slamming against my ribcage. But it wasn't until I felt those scary tingly pains in my left arm that I decided to take action.
Now, I've quit caffeine before, and it's never a permanent proposition. It isn't this time either, I just need to get my heartrate back down to something that will allow me to survive at least until my birthday.
Anyway, the point is, I'm kinda used to the headaches....well no, that's a total lie, I'm just more prepared this time. I'm also prepared for the inexplicable muscle stiffness, which apparently is my trademark caffeine withdrawl symptom because nobody else I know gets stiff when they get off the stuff.
But what I wasn't prepared for was the sharp drop in my already unbelievably low energy level. Its gotten so bad that I barely want to play video games, and that was pretty much the only thing I've wanted to do lately. Its weird, its not even like a "tired" feeling that I can compare to anything else. Its just like when your car battery starts running out; ya know, all the lights get dim, the radio fades in and out, the engine kinda whirrs down but never stalls-that's what it feels like.
Point being: I may not be as active on here as I'd like to be for a little while.
However, when I get better and get back on the stuff.......watch out!
