Silent Hill. You wouldn't believe what having all those monsters around does to property values.

West Coast relocation: Day 1

I'm noticing a pattern.
About a month ago I came out here to check the place out, maybe help orient myself a bit before I took the plunge and uprooted myself from the East Coast. The weather was alright for, umm..2 days, and then it rained for the entire rest of the time I was here. I laughed it off, thinking nothing of it.
But, now that I have arrived for real, it's raining again. Actually the entire coast is supposed to get hit with some kind of killer storm tomorrow, which will probably feature power outages galore for those of us in KaleeFoNeAh.
Outstanding.
Also, at some point during the trip, I managed to utterly devastate my back in the course of lifting my 67.5 pound suitcase. Hooray! Hopefully I won't get another case of that oh-so-delightful DeathFlu I had last time I was here. But I wouldn't be surprised if I do.
So yeah.
My plan is to try to let my back mend today and maybe try to get my bearings tomorrow. Lots of sitting around = Lots of reading, which is good, cuz next up is The Hundred Years of Solitude which I've been looking forward to reading.
Yeah I know, this is a weirdly mundane entry for my journal, but for once I actually have some stuff that could go in a regular journal.
Don't worry, my imagination is still cranking away, and I'll be back with more craziness soon enough.
