today i was a victim of The Hustle. some guy tried to sell me a cd outside Reckless, i bought it off him for $5. fucking asshole. thankfully its a really good cd, the Ninja Tune compilation from a couple of years ago.
attention Minneapolis folk: i'm gonna be there either friday or saturday or sunday for a whole week. hit me up and we'll get our party started like a certain magenta-hued pop signer.
Roby is out of commision for a while as she doesn't have a computer at her new place. i know that some of my friends on here are her adoring fans... she won't have a 'puter for a bit so she told me to send all of you her love vicariously through me. does that mean i give you all handjobs? i hope not. i need to start charging one of these days.
so i'm done with classes and went to my favorite bar to celebrate. i was just gonna get a beer then head out but some dude from HBO shows up and gives me some 'Entourage' promo thing which basically gets me a lot of free shit and VIP access to a lot of clubs this weekend. for instance, at Smartbar on Saturday i get free drinks all night. if i show up to a certain store at a certain time i get free shoes. not only that... but the bartender at Rodan hooked me up something sweet with free drinks while i was there. so if you can get ahold of one of these black cards i highly suggest you do... free shit is always good. so, Rodan i get free tequila. anyone feel like joining me?
i'm chasing a writing internship at Second City this summer and job at Europa bookstore. yay for me.
going back to Cali in a couple of weeks too. i'm going to sit on the beach and drink all day in a very non Jimmy Buffet way. forsooth! i need the ocean.
speaking of which, that Laguna Beach landslide? holy fuck. those houses are like $2million a piece. this isn't like a trailer park or some shit. that shit was real close to where one of my old friends lived. fucking crazy, eh? and it didn't hit Underdog Records, the coolest record store in orange county, either, which is good as thats one of the only good record store in all of Newport Beach / Laguna.
