I am super psyched! Being the geek that I am, I tricked windows 7 RC to install on a PIII 433MGhz with 256MB by using a 512MB video card and making the BIOS see it as memory. OK, I know that isn't a huge accomplishment in the grand scheme of things, and it's not gonna make my wife drop her panties when she see's it, but I thinks it's cool. Since I got my hands on the RC a few months back, I have been pushing it to see how good it is. We all heard the hype for Vista and saw it fail at life. So, when they introduces 7, I wanted to make sure it was even half what they were hyping.
So far it is behaving like XP on this system. Luckily I had a 8400 PCI card lying around. Funny thing is, the vid card has 512MB on it, which is twice what is on the motherboard. The memory is friggin pc100. I think I have 2 256MB PC133 sticks out in the garage so after it updates fully I may put them in and see how she behaves.
