I found this guy quoted me in his book, from an article I wrote on Cibo Matto. He credits me with coming up with the malapropism, "defunked".
Malapropism - A word or phrase that has been mistaken for another, usually because of its sound rather than its meaning.

Defunct means dead-no longer functional. You could argue that a band without funk is as good as dead, too, which might explain the mistake.
Yuka Honda and Miho played in the band "Butter 08" as a side project…The now defunked "Butter 08" is legendary among the Cibo Matto family.
