Ugh, today was just strange...
My friends Olga and Shane had a party today. Pretty good time, Olga's family is from Guatemala, so there was some damn tasty home cookin'.
I so just wanted to stay there and eat.
I hadn't seen Olga in ages, and rarely saw Shane until recently. I was talking to Brenda once, and she mentioned something like "Have you ever met Olga's husband? Um....Shane I think..."
Took me a minute to realize it was this Shane, but damn, it's just weird to me that all these folks I went to school with are getting married. The few times I saw Shane, he never mentioned Olga, so it was kind of a surprise when Brenda mentioned it.
Anyway, there were some other old friends of mine that I lost touch with at the party. I remember Janis and Nathan struggling like hell after their son Ian was born, and now the kid is huge. I'd guess 5, maybe 6 years old. Now they have a daughter too.
My other friend Nathan that I haven't seen in about a year? Married. Micheal? Getting married soon.
I knew these people in middle school.
May be the reason I was kind of depressed during work today. Everyone I knew now has degrees, good jobs, and are married, and they're all doing something with their lives, and I'm still stumbling around lost.
I wish I could just start over sometimes.
Of course, Brenda shows up right as I have to leave.
I don't get to see her nearly enough.
I think one of the other reasons I was down today is because delivering pizza is a damn depressing job.
Shit I wish I didn't have to do this crap again as a part time job.
Where does my dad get off trying to bust my chops about the $3800 I owe my sis, when I'm busting my ass to try to get her some cash, while at the same time, he owes her $16,000, and has made no effort at all?
Fuck I need some money so I can get ahead in life.
