15 minutes until i am officially a thirty something. doesn't bother me so much i guess. but i have been looking at my face more lately for any sign of age & wrinkles. i'm creating them by looking in the mirror. they just magically appear before my eyes.
so... like the boring old married lady i am, i went to my parents house tonight for pizza and tv instead of going to the secret machines show at irving plaza. doh. now i'm home and regretting that i didn't go. i didn't find out about it until late anyway... but i still should have bailed on my parents and gone. grr. i saw them when they opened for Interpol in November at Electric Factory and was totally blown away. they rock! currently playing them on my newly purchased 80 watt creative lab speakers for my 'puter.... they shake the whole office they are so loud. yeah!
The Wonder Stuff are playing at stone pony in april. that was the very first concert i saw... Irving Plaza 1993 i think. wow. very cool. haven't purchased any material since Construction of the Modern Idiot. kick ass album. saw them with this chic Erika, whom i was totally in love with... she was a nanny from Liverpool. all 90 lbs of pure energy, that girl <sigh>
Right, ok, so back to the parents house... they bought me some junk from Victoria's Secret. shampoo, conditioner and hairspray. are they trying to tell me something? i shower. i've used Pantene hair crap since high school. i can't remember a bottle of hairspray ever entering my home. ever. nice to know my parents know me so well. the thought was nice. oh wait, it gets better... a pink polkadotted bag. um, ok. me and pink. hmmm. are they trying to change me into a girly girl? won't happen. i don't even know how to apply makeup!
The hubby & I went to see Constantine on Saturday... cool movie. A few things had to be elaborated on... but the movie was long as it was... maybe there will be a sequel. Here's the thing.... if the chic went thru that whole awakening, as it were, for sight, to see demons, then why did they not show it? they went thru the whole drama of the bathtub scene, but yet never gave us one glimpse of her seeing demons or the like. hmph.
Best part of the weekend, my date with an Arby's roast beef and cheddar sandwich. yeah baby!
