I used to live just down Hwy 9 from there, just inside Pott county. I'd come to Norman to hang out with cool people and watch bands, because there were neither in Shawnee.
I saw the Flaming Lips at the Sooner theater on some good acid, then had to drive home in the freezing rain and ice after the brakes quit working on my car, with my tag & inspection stickers out and a warrant for unpaid tickets.
Ahh, good times, good times.
