Jeez, I don't know if I've ever spoken that strongly about anyone...Even the people I really don't like.
Actuallly, a lot of research has been done on the link between obesity and economics. And a lot of people can't afford to eat at Subway, or don't live near one, but that particular scene mad me angry for another reason. The fat daughter has a fat mother who is only concerned with fat daughter's problem because she is fatter. Mother is not looking at her own eating habits, and is certainly not helping with daughter's self esteem.
The part of the film I found to be most enlightening was the school lunch program segment. Its digusting to me that even the government allows our children to eat like they do. I feel the same way about NCSU's food, its sucks. NCSU sells Chic-fil-a and papa John's pizza, despite the fact that its a land grant institution where a large portion of its students are learning how to grow food. Why don't we feed our children sweetpotatoes, beans and salad? It doesn't cost more...

hey, I haven't forgotten about the wanted reccommendations for a nice getaway...I've been racking my brain! I have lived here for 3 years, but still don't know too many places. If you are interested in the Asheville area, I would suggest looking up some of the quaint little bed and breakfasts in the area. They're very romantic, and a lot more affordable than the Grove Park Inn!
