What's been going on. So, I haven't been journaling much, but I still love you people. Not all of you, but probably the ones reading this. Especially, one of you, sneaky.
Anyway, thoughts of SG...
1)It's almost been a year and things have changed. For instance, noobs don't seem to have any quams about expressing themselves ad nauseum before they actually read the faq or make some friends. But I guess that's entertaining.
2)Also, I miss Ava.
3)To continue, I thought about letting my account lapse for a while so I could not be distracted and get a little work done, but the last couple of weeks show me that I can just go away for a while.
4)Also, I worry about my star-crossed rock amiga. How you doin'?
5)Lucille now has a baby! That's an exciting change.
6)I've met a lot of people from the site, but none of them well. SGNC, I never thanked everyone for an interesting evening, but "Thanks."
7)This was an experiment in supporting better porn. Does the association with Playboy mean it's working? Are we, dear SG, changing the industry? Are we just being co-opted or somesuch thing? Am I too entrenched to care?
8)I discovered a deep desire for and love of California. I mean maybe it's just part of some sort of American unconscious urge ("go west...!), or maybe it's a desire to get to my roots (my family is from and largely live in so-cal), or maybe it's just a desire for change? But have you ever listened to Joni Mitchell sing the word "California?" Say, for instance in "Little Green" from Blue? I know it isn't as beautiful in reality**cough*cough*governator*cough**but I feel it's pull from the far side of I-40.
9) I don't really have a nine or ten at the moment. But 8 is a nice number. It's 2^3 afterall.

Actually Burning Man. Tickets went on sale yesterday. I am not going to Coachella unfortunately. Only one or 2 big parties a year for me, thanks!

speaking from experience here... i grew up in nc (wilmington) - and have moved between ca and nc 3 times now - now make my home in ca (bay area/sf/peninsula) - all i gotta say is the proverbial "the grass is always greeer" - well unless you live in california, were the grass is only green in april and may - then it gets brown - but anyway - yeah, tons of shit to do out here - but I must say, don't come here for the women... stay back east...
