To answer your other questions: yes, TranAm are form Maryland. Yes, TransAm is insanely tongue-in-cheek. But their tongue has finally gone through their cheek and now they're bleeding to death.

Andrew WK is a little bit less convinsing that it's a joke. If you talk to him and really get a sense of who he is, you'll quickly discover that he really just wants to make himself happy and the thing that does that best for him is making other people happy. And having fun makes people happy. He's so unabashedly sincere and sweet and just an all-around nice guy that cares about his peeps. Basically, he's breaking every traditional rule for being a rock star, which is what makes him so incredible. And he's an amazing pianist and guitar player. The dude shreds like nobody's business.
