the other day i was talking to e, and he was giving me advice on something. in response to his advice, i said to him "i dont want confrontation right now. i just can't do that. i have too much going on." but i realised today that that was just a cop out.
my entire family is scared of confrontation. we dont talk to each other about stuff. we leave notes around the house to each other. thats how its always been. or we have someone else confront the situation.
and then i think back to experiences where confrontation has been necessary, and i did it in chickenshit little ways like.. writing emails or notes. yet i have confronted 200lb men about being sexist assholes.
i think its fucked up, and i am over this learned fear.

Realising our weeknesses is painful and can be a place for growth. Use what you have learned to make your self stronger and better..
