Was thinking about this and realised that as I have not been on a date since 1997 , that means I have not been on a date since having to use two crutches to walk. One of the things I loved most about being out with a partner is holding hands while walking which I would not be able to do now unless I could mange short distances on one crutch.
So It got me thinking where would I like to go on a date now. If it was a first date then it would probably be the cinema then a cafe to talk about the film, that way I wouldn't have to struggle over what to say and hopefully be able to overcome any shyness.
On future dates I think the perfect place would be a picnic then a nice chat in a quiet park !! Sitting on a park bench holding my dates hand, listening to them and also taking in nature would be so romantic !! While I am 'probably' not too old for clubbing and would happily go if my date wanted too a club or noisy pub is not the best place for communication.
