Need to Cut Down my Tech/ Internet usage!!

Thinking of going back to something i used to do , having a tech free day once a week. Might have to vary days though depending on whats going on. Used to do it on a Sunday but not only is a lot of live sport on a Sunday but two politics shows are on Sunday morning. Some may think this weird but i really enjoy watching news programmes especailly about politics. Was watching live coverage of Acting Attorney General Matthew Whittaker being questioned by Congress and it was fascinating!! I watched a lot of the coverage of Brett Kavanaugh's Senate hearings. Also watched a lot of the coverage here in the UK on Brexit. Not sure if i need one day a week off tech or just need to cut down a bit. What got me thinking about all this is My Mother said to me yesterday 'you aren't reading much these day, are you?' And it made me realise she is right. Anyway i will stop rambling now 🤣

Once tech gets into your routine it is quick to take over. Good for you recognizing it and addressing it. I watched this documentary last night about the fyre festival. I had wondered how such a colossal cluster fuck had happened and I had never heard about it and after watching the movie I totally understand. My online presence consists of SG and Amazon and that whole thing was done by social media. I have days when I barely see my phone or computer but few where I am completely off-line.

@chefdaddy i had not heard of Fyre Festival , will have to check out the doc on Netflix. My online activities on the whole enrich my life as i am pretty much a hermit offline with no friends outside my family. So my online friends are important to me and a few i have know for several years!! But i know it can become a bit of an obsession at time so need to reign myself in. I tend to have an addictive personality , which ofcourse made giving up smoking in 2014 hard.
