FFirstly i want to piont out that this is just my view and i am in no way saying anyone is wrong in what they do! I know it is Tuesday here but i just remembered i was going to do this and it is still Monday in USA.
My gripe is people who use gofundme.com to raise money for 'ordinary' , 'mundane' , 'non emergency' stuff😠. An example of this is an Adult Entertainer i follow set up a GoFundMe page to put a down payment on a car. I know having a car is important but not compared to GoFundMe pages for people needing medical treatment or vet bills etc. Another person i follow needs extra money as she is moving so she has reduced her Snapchat, asked her fans to buy her manyvids content and to tip her. To me this is a much better way to raise funds than using GoFundMe. The women who wanted money for a car is now wanting to raise $5000 dollars for her kittens. While i am an animal lover i still feel this is a missuse of the sites concept. Another person needed help with her vet bills as her cat was sick and to me that is a much more genuine cause.
It is only my opinion but if a person is ill, has family/friend who is ill, has a sick pet or is raising funds for a recognised charity or caurse (such as the fires in California etc) then GoFundMe is the place to raise the money, but if they need a new car etc then try and get thier fans to help them through buying their content not just giving money. Rant Over🤣
