GDC was great and everyone at Realtime Worlds was super nice. I only wish that I had taken more pictures to share with you all. I got to see an exclusive trailer for the game All Points Bulletin. They are even going to make Annika and I characters in the game!
On Wednesday I was invited to a private screening of the 3D animation movie Monsters v.s. Aliens! Intel held a raffle before the movie and asked me to call the numbers. (I only wish that I could have been the lucky one to have won that brand new lap top!)
In light of meeting to so many individuals I have decided to offer you all a little advice on how to be a more confident, captivating and compelling individual.
1. The Hand Shake A hand shake tells a lot about a persons personality. This is the first thing someone thinks about after meeting you. Be firm without breaking any knuckles. Cold and clammy hands are an instant turn off. If you happen to be someone who always has sweaty palms than take them out of your pockets and give them a little air. Which leads me to my next point....
2. Gestures One of the best ways to convey and illustrate what you are saying is to use your hands. You can literally grasp a persons attention and draw them in. Shaky hands are an obvious indication of your nerves. Relax, take deep breaths. No one is going to lance you.
3. Body Language If you look comfortable and confident, people will believe that you are. Stand up straight, don't slouch. Face the person you are speaking to, but don't stand in their personal bubble. (Especially with onion breath!
)
4. Projection Speak loud enough so people can hear what you are saying easily, without yelling. Mumbling will most likely get on peoples' nerves. Talk clearly so they can understand. If, when ever you ask someone a question and the first response you get is usually, "WHAT?!?" then it's time to speak up!
5. Eye Contact Look at someone lets them know that you are seeking to them. Looking down at the floor will make you seem self conscious, and shy. Looking at someones boobs will make you seem like a perv.
Ok that's all for now. Remember this and with a clean shave, no one will turn you down. Add some of your own if you would like.
In other new.... My Sea Monkeys Had Babies. Hopefully the parents won't eat them...
