Skyscapers: Idealism or Practicality?
Song of the day: Gettin Nasty by Ike Turner, the best song from the Soul of a Black Man album (sounds like it came from a different session), J5 took a big bite out of this one for Concrete Schoolyard.

I spin everything really, I just like to make tapes for myself and for friends. A typical tape would have everything from Zappa to Nas. Sometimes I fuck around and try to blend stuff together, I only come up with cool shit on accident, like on this one tape there's this part where the end of Jimi Hendrix's could this be love blends into the beginning of Roberta Flack's bridge over troubled water, and after a minute or two some John Coltrane (second song on Traneing In i think) comes in and plays throughout the rest of the song, it's cool though because the sax follows her vocals almost identicaly, and her piano blends well with the rest of Coltrane's band.
