I just got back from the event. Wow. What a day. Almost 100 hundred people there, it was manic. I got a number of seriously long range kills which I was chuffed with since I got to prove that my stupidly oversized scope is indeed worth the $180 price tag.

Loki (my SPR) was my weapon of choice today and he proved to take properly after his namesake. I brought my little brother out for his first ever time doing it today too. He borrowed Thor (my G36) and used a massive twin-drum C-mag (holds about 3000 rounds in airsoft). He kicked ass too, running around the place like a march hare, he was so small and fast (he's 15 but his growth spurt is only happening now, the short-ass) that he could nearly dodge shots coming at him.

OK that little asterisk thing is signifying the fact that half way through writing this I lost my train of thought due to going to get fed. I also realise now that I am absolutely knackered from running around a field all day carrying 35lbs of gear. My army days seem a long way behind me now. A few years ago and a day like that wouldn't have even made me hungry, let alone tired.

I never really understood air soft.... I mean, I own one and its fun to shoot at things, but as a sport? Cant quite grab that. I used to play paintball often, so the "idea" of the sport is not where I am confused. I always found paintball guns to be fairly accurate and the fact that they leave marks when you hit something is actually fun. Airsoft seems very in accurate to me, and leaves no mark to confirm your hit.......
