A little story about my first tattoo...

@rambo @missy

So my first tattoo I had drawn up about a year before I got it. I really like rabbits (had 12 of them growing up) and recently, I've come to like the style of Mandalas. So, I figured why not put the two together?

Here is the initial drawing:

Here it is on my forearm in henna. I actually did this on myself while laying on the beach in Ocean City, MD. It was so difficult and I got a sunburn but I LOVED how it looked and knew I had to get it tattooed one day!

And here it is freshly done! I've gotten it touched up since then to even out the lines/add more color in spots.

But I feel like I should go into how I ended up getting this tattoo. I moved down to Savannah, GA a couple of months ago for school and while I was sitting at the bar of a restaurant I was applying to work at, I met this boy. Well this boy and I started to date and when he heard I wanted a tattoo he said, "Great! I'll buy it for you!" I thought he was crazy. I hate when people spend money on me because I feel like I don't deserve it! Well, he pulled the line of "I'm in the military. I get all this money and spend it on stupid shit. Let me buy this for you" and the next thing I know, we are pulling into the shop to schedule my appointment! I was so nervous going in (definitely took one of my Xanax just in case!) but my artist is a complete doll!! It was nearly painless, she did an amazing job, and I'm so happy that I got this tattoo. That boy and I have since broken up and everyone always asks me, "don't you think of him when you look at your tattoo?" and the answer is no! I didn't get this for him, I didn't get this because of him, he simply provided the funds. I got this for me, this is mine, and I think it's beautiful <3

My tattoo artist is also the same artist that is doing the sleeve you see in my photos. I have my next appointment scheduled for January 4th and I'll be posting photos/videos onto my instagram and here for you all to see! But, would you all rather I do a periscope of my tattoo session?? Let me know what you think below!
